Tips for Healthy Hair
Healthy Hair for Healthy Life
“Hair is not just a part of human body, but is a statement of style and an affirmation of beauty and elegance.”
What is a good hair?
The answer to this question can be anything to anyone as per their personal perception. Some may go with good styling, some with good colouring, some with length and many more. But in real sense, Good hair is simply the healthy hair, whatever you perceive that to be. Good hair adds to one's personality. So, giving extra care to hair is very crucial.
How you should take care of your hair depends on the type of hair you have, your lifestyle, and how you style your hair.
Different hair type needs different hair care. So, first thing we need to know is to identify our hair type.People with dry, curly hair have different hair care needs than the people with straight, fine hair. But all hair needs to be treated gently, especially when it's wet. Wet hair can stretch, making it more vulnerable to breakage or cuticle damage. That's why using a hot blow-dryer (or other heat styling products) on very wet hair can damage it. Long, high heat causes bubbles to form in the hair shaft, which causes them to break easily damaging them.
Washing off the hair is the first initial important care to keep our hair healthy. If you're washing your hair every day, it’s important to choose a mild shampoo instead of a shampoo with a lots of harsh chemicals, which is the main reason of damaged hair. Always choose mild chemical free shampoo for fine hair which neither too oily nor too dry. For Oily hair its important to use clarifying shampoo but shouldn’t be used on regular basis as it contains chemicals which may damage the hair. Similarly, for Dry hair always choose the nourishing shampoo with extra moisturizer, that gives life to your dry hair. Along with shampoo good conditioner is most for dry hair.
Few Basic Effective Tips for Maintaining Healthy Hair:
Don’t wash your hair regularly.
Is it good to wash your hair regularly? It may sound strange but the answer is No. Washing your hair regularly can severely damage the hair strands.Excessive use of shampoos and chemicals kills your healthy hair rather than giving it a life. So, it’s better to wash your hair only 2-3 times a week using appropriate shampoo and conditioner as per your hair type.
Deal carefully with wet hair.
It is not a advised to dry your hair immediately after taking hair wash. To make sure that your hair stays strong and supple, it’s important to keep many things in mind. After bath gently squeeze the hair and blot carefully rather than using towels. Beside this, don’t use dryer immediately in wet hair.
Avoid using Hair Dryer.
It’s good to dry your hair naturally and avoid using hair dryer. Hair dryer makes your hair rough and often lead to split ends, breakage, and overall damage.
Use Hair Oil before having Bath.
Oil your hair as frequently as you can and use a gentle shampoo to get rid of the oil. Oiling the scalp is good for your hair. But do not over do it. Dripping oil from your hair will only need you to use more shampoo which strips out more of your natural oils no matter how mild it is. Oil can make your hair shiny and strong.
Use cold water rather than hot water.

In most of the cases, cold water is mostly prefered both for hair and skin.Blasting your scalp with extremely hot water will dry out your hair and create tangles that could result in breakage. Use of towels immediately after bath may also damage of your hair.
Don’t use random hair products.
Many of us has the habit of using random hair products. If one doesn’t work then they shift for next products resulting in the more damaged hair. Always choose a shampoo and a conditioner from the same line as it has a similar formulation. These are made for a specific hair type and a specific purpose. It shows better results when you use a single line instead of two individual products.
